Sam Browne Studs

Hi all,

I am having a problem with my supplier in the UK for screw base Sam Browne studs. They used to supply the ones on the left of the picture but now they are supplying the ones on the right. I need the ones with the wider base for a specific item I make.

I don't mind buying them in the US or anywhere to be honest as long as I can get the correct ones.

Does anyone know where I can buy the wide base 'Skinny' Sam Browne studs?

The ones that Le Prevo sell seem to look a bit like what you're looking for (http://www.leprevo.c...owne-skinny.htm). Could be worth giving them a call and asking them the measure the bases.

Actually that is who my supplier is lol. For some reason they now supply the small base ones and when I call (6 times) I get spun a yarn about some bloke calling me back. Its going nowhere hence why I am looking for a new supplier.

Surely there must be someone else out there who sells them?

It's a bit annoying when suppliers change their sources! Abbey Saddlery also stock Sam Browne studs, but may not have the skinny ones. I've borrowed some pics from their catalogue (see below).
