jerry m Report post Posted July 22, 2012 I am planning on making a set of grips for a bicycle i am making. The plan is to cover the bars with 1/8 or 1/4 inch closed cell foam then cover that with what i have witch is 6 or 7 oz leather that i have used to make a couple of holsters with. The grips will be stained with usmc black i would like to add fringe on the ends ( the seams will be laced with black).. My questions are what should i lace with ( the lacing book i have does not cover laceing a round object, what should the fringe be made out of and what would be the best way to attach it the the end (i am thinking a hole at he end), and what finish will is best .
