Froghunter Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 My lovely wife has seen fit to put up with me for a great number of years, so as a reward I thought I should make her something! So she asked for a custom seat for her Suzuki Boulevard. I am not finished yet, but here is the top. I am actually recovering her stock seat which was gathering dust. Her scoot is Fire engine red with ghost flames and will soon have white walls, so I did the seat in red and I am siding the seat in white ostrich print to bring the white into the bike. I also posted one of my first tank bib commisions, fairly simple but turned out well... what do y'all think? Quote
Ambassador Beaverslayer Posted January 18, 2008 Ambassador Report Posted January 18, 2008 Well that is a BRIGHT seat, the Dragon is way nice. Can't wait to see how it looks with the white sides. Ken Quote

Members WaG35 Posted January 18, 2008 Members Report Posted January 18, 2008 Nicely done on both. The seat isn't my taste but I definately appreciate the craftsmanship. I plan on doing a seat & tank bib for my roadstar when I get the holsters done that I am working on. I would love to see the seat when it is done. Quote

Froghunter Posted February 4, 2008 Author Report Posted February 4, 2008 Thanks for all the encouragement... I finally am ready for final assembly onto the seat pan, here is where the seat stands as of tonight... The top was attched to the white side panel by way of a spool of Roo black lacing done in the basketweave. The side is white embossed ostrich, and was saddle stitched to the bottom wrap piece, which is dyed with the same all-in-one red as the seat top. Hopefully this week I'll get it mounted and on the bike for some better pics!!! I am really happy with the contrast of the white and red on this piece. and the ostrich adds the perfect amount of texture IMHO. What do ya think? It's not custom chopper quality.....yet......but not bad for my first, "from scratch" seat. And the wife LOVES it....which is THE most important thing! Quote
