ibenu Report post Posted August 9, 2012 Good morning this fine day. I have been lurking around my BF's studio since last August. He does incredible custom work at Creative MayheM. I came into some softer leather pieces and wanting to hang out with him as well as get some fun product ready for our Culture Crawl this coming november..Leather Monsters was born. He has been working with me and teaching me the many differences between leather as a textile vests fabric. Monsters are something I have always enjoyed making and am really working hard to excel with this new medium/textile. I hope you enjoy these guys as much as we do.. Looking forward to gleaning new techniques and ideas from here. There are a bunch of monsters in my gallery but I am not talented enough to link them into this yet-- so here's a repeat of one of my recent faves--
particle Report post Posted August 9, 2012 Those look fantastic! I was just browsing your gallery - very fun and creative idea! I like them all. And I like the subtle detailing, like the gear stamp on one of the eyes. Heading over to your Facebook page right now!

particle Report post Posted August 9, 2012 Thanks! I have a LOT to learn about the various types of leather and such - that page on my site was my attempt to force myself to learn something, and to help others as well. The Creative MayheM page is really cool too! The photography is fantastic. My coworker loves the red shoes!
