Grain-To-Grain Gluing?

Hi,

Is it possible to stick leather grain sides together? Preferably with a water-based adhesive.

I'm using double-sided leather and need some sort of way to stick them together before stitching.

scratch both sides or sand with course sandpaper.. this will work, I use Barge or Masters cement.

From the grump: Just as Luke says, I do it frequently, but I use Weldwood Contact cement. Mike
