What exactly are you looking for when you say "source"? Are you looking for a template or just a manufacturer of a replica?

Looking for a template or pattern,,have found a lot of patterns and a lot of replicas(at premium price) but would like to attempt to make one for my own use....Found no pattern specifically for mr. Cleef style holster,,,will be for a ruger blackhawk 357/38 SA 3 screw,,4 5/8 barrel...

i am unsure of how to get the sharp angle,,putting over belt or attach a separate hanger to back of holster..i have made only a few holsters and certainly a beginner but enjoy giving it a go...thanks for reply,,maybe i put in wrong forum as i see there is a pattern forum...

I guess a good cross draw pattern whether it says van cleef style or not would suffice..Thanks for reply!!

Ok. Have you checked out the "How to Make Holsters by Al Stohlman"? On page 3 it gives examples of various folds. I downloaded mine online from Tandy. Additionally, Slick Bald Customs sells a cross draw pattern/instructions for SAA up to 5-1/2" Bbl.

When i make a cross draw holster for a customer. I make the holster pattern with some left to fold over and then i tape a bigger piece to that part and fold it at a pretty extreme angle to get the angle where they want it. Sometimes i have had to tape another piece to the piece i started with to get the angle right. It's just trial and error.

Which movie are you referencing for a "Lee Van Cleef style"?

Once you know what the magician know.... it isn't magic anymore.

It looks to me like a regular vertical opening on the back of the holster...just a flap folded over and pushed through a loop on the skirt...ala single loop holster...the belt looks like it is cut to accomodate the cant...look close at the far right picture at the back of the holster and you will see the belt stitch line angle downward...pretty cool design...
