benlilly1 Report post Posted September 19, 2012 I stumbled upon this site about 21 months ago. I have learned a lot from Leatherworker. But for the newcomers I have noticed it's important to get the right information...right from the start....from the right people...with the right knowledge. I know not everyone has a talent for leather. So when questions arise from someone that could be good at leather work, you hope they get the right information. I've noticed in a few posts (and just a few) that answers being posted are mere guesses or suggestions without proof. --That just sends people in the wrong direction -- My suggestion for the future newcomer is to check out the info given. To prove that the info is right I usually go to profiles, members websites and look at all product that has been made and to see if they know what they're talking about. This for me is how I've advanced in leather work. There are some GREAT leather workers here...the newcomers need to seek them out!
