That is an excellent job. Nice stitching. Your boning detail is excellent. Way better than my second attempt.

Thank you very much. Its definitely not perfect. Ive done leather work before belts, knife sheaths, motorcycle seats and other random things. but it was definitely a challenge. Thank you again.

I would drop the sinew and get some waxed linen thread. Sinew has its place but now normally on a modern holster. Its great for reinactment articles. Stitching looks good. I would get closer on the trigger guide side. As the holster wears it will loosen up and the stitching will keep the gun tighter in the holster. Give some 3-5 cord waxed linen thread a try. You will like the looks of it.

Not sure if you know this, but the style loops you're using were developed by Matt Del Fatti and have 2 attachment points, actually. The offset screw uses a blind post that goes through both layers of leather, and the stud portion of the snap has a screw that threads into a tee nut that's sandwiched between the leather. The 2 points eliminate the strap's ability to rotate.

Neat, huh?

dickf, I did not know that. It its neat! Thank you for the info. Mlapaglia, I do have and normally use linen cord. I do love it. But the buddy I made this for like the look of the sinew on something else I made and had kind of requested it. Thank you for the tip about the trigger guard. I will keep that in mind when doing the next one! Thank you!
