Members mattsh Posted November 12, 2012 Members Report Posted November 12, 2012 A friend has asked me to make an IWB holster for the Beretta Bobcat pistol. The first challenge I see is that in order to get a good grip on the pistol most of the pistol is going to be above the belt line. This seems to me to be similar to the challenge with the HK P7. Has anyone built an IWB for this Beretta pistol that you could share some insights and advice? Thanks. IngleGunLeather Posted November 12, 2012 Report Posted November 12, 2012 (edited) A picture of the pistol would be great in order to make recommendations. A quick google search resulted in this IWB Clip on. This seems pretty straight forward. All you need above the belt line is the grip itself. Members JJLeatherworks Posted November 12, 2012 Members Report Posted November 12, 2012 Also think about the cant of the holster. I found on smaller guns to move toward the over 25 degree mark. See picture I found on http://www.kelloggcustomleather.com/ I don't know if he is on here or not. Quote
Contributing Member TwinOaks Posted November 13, 2012 Contributing Member Report Posted November 13, 2012 JJL has it. You'll need to cant the pistol to make the grip 'higher' and then form the holster to keep more of the slide in the leather. Also, relieve the area directly under the trigger guard so that it doesn't interfere with the grip.
