Members Tgrlily Posted November 19, 2012 Members Report Posted November 19, 2012 I've been lurking, studying and trying to work with leather for about two months. Figure it's time to stop lurking! I so far suck at tooling, but love sculpting leather masks. My first mask was from an end scrap on a 3-4 oz hide. It was cut freehand, dried wrong so it's way too soft, but it looks great on me. I actually made a template for the next one drawn from looking at pics on websites. I sculpted and dried this one much better than the first! Also my first two attempts at airbrushing using a cheap harbor freight airbrush. Feel free to critique! I know the first one sucks. For those that sell them, how do you price them? I'm shocked to say that I was invited to vend at an arts festival this spring but have no clue how to price anything! Since it's an erotic arts fest and part of the festivities is a masquerade ball, I'm hoping/guessing sales will be good if I design a wide enough variety. So... Here they are! Quote

Contributing Member Samalan Posted November 19, 2012 Contributing Member Report Posted November 19, 2012 By the way the first one is my favourite. Quote
Members Tgrlily Posted November 19, 2012 Author Members Report Posted November 19, 2012 Thank you! I plan on doing a similar design but more sculpted to hold a firmer shape. The soft style would be nice for blindfolds! Quote
Contributing Member Samalan Posted November 20, 2012 Contributing Member Report Posted November 20, 2012 Price them T+ M and keep a very accurate account book, IMHO. Quote
Members hornm Posted November 21, 2012 Members Report Posted November 21, 2012 They all look good to me. Just keep at it and make sure to search the forum and ask questions. Looks like you are on a good start Horn Quote
