Members David8386 Posted November 27, 2012 Members Report Posted November 27, 2012 Looks good, what did you line it with to keep from scratching the paint? David Quote
Members Sicksteene Posted November 27, 2012 Author Members Report Posted November 27, 2012 The bib is constructed of two layers of 5-6 oz leather glued and hand stitched together. Thanks for the kind words. As an added detail I also stitched the baseball style lacing. My other obsession, until I started working with leather I didn't think I would find a hobby that hurt the wallet as much. Quote
Members David8386 Posted November 27, 2012 Members Report Posted November 27, 2012 I made a bag to go between my license plate and solo rack it is out of 9 to 10 oz leather. I vinagrooned it black and use Aussie conditioner on it occasionally. I have had it there about six months and it has scuffed the paint on the fender a little. Not bad but I know it's there which is why I was asking. I have seen some posts where they lined a bib with felt to help. Any way the bib looks good I notice the baseball lacing, I like it.
