Sources Of Lace Cutter/beveler

Recommended Posts

I am new to braiding and cutting lace- so I know very little about the topic. Im currently making a saddle for my daughter nad have gotten to the part where I need to lace the back halves of the skirts with kangeroo lace together.

What are sources for good quality lace cutters/bevelers?? So far the only 2 I have found are the Lace master and another one made by y-knot. Any recommendations would be appreciated - if these are the two best ones to choose from I would love to hear any input

Thanks RMR

I have a Hansen string cutter. It works well and has a small splitter attached for cheaper that most other cutters.

Gordon Hayes (http://www.ghbitsofsilver.com/)

makes the cutter now that you will see in Gail Hought's book. He told me a really great price - not sure if its for all or not.

Hansen works ok, but the splitter is a pain because you have to reset the depth each time.

I bought one of the aforementioned cutters:

It was $250.

I have my Lace Master "Vaquero" for sale on eBay if anybody's interested:
