I just bought a nice used Consew 226r-1 and the people that had it always uded the hand foot lift. It did come with a knee lift that they had never used, I'm not sure if it's the right one. There is nothing in the Consew manual about a knee lift. The knee lift has a rod with a set screw in the end. The bottom of the lift lever has a small roller on it, that doesn't seem to do anything. There is also no place to fasten the knee lift that I can see, I got used to using the knee lift with my Artisan 797 and I really like it. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hope this works

You can see where the bent part rides on the roller lift part under your machine. When you push the knee lift it will raise the foot

See page eight of above Adobe .pdf link for description and install notes; this knee lifter appears on many makes and model machines. This very common knee lifter is the same as on a Juki LU-563 or Singer 111W155, for example.

Above pic is from a Highlead factory knee lifter, but this is entirely different than what is on a Consew 226. Common machines for this pic posted by dirtclod are for example a Juki DNU-241, Conew 206RB, and many, many others.

Gregg your a 100% right it is a picture of a Highlead machine. I figured they were all about the same. I learned something new today and that's a good thing.

O.K., Thanks. I'm definitely missing a piece from the knee lift assembly. I'll see if I can find one. Love the Consew. Lew
