How To Make Machine Sewing Look Good

I have a small but very strong machine,, in sewing garment leather the stiching looks awsome but whn I sew more firm heavier leather it looks week? any suggestions,, Thanks Bo

What machine are you using and what leather thickness are you trying to sew?

here is a small sample as you can see I was playing with the stitch per inch and the tension. The straightes ine is in a groove I cut to have the stitching lay flush with the surface,, I know I need to give the machine a good oiling and get a new reostat pedal,, any ideas on the pedal the one that came with the machineis junk!

I think you´ll have to upgrade your machinery, as your machine seems to be made for sewing garment leather and fabrics, and does not handle thicker leather very well.

It looks like the bobbin thread is being pulled to the top. It's eather to much tention on the needle thread or not enough on the bobbin. Make sure that the bobbin thread is under the flat spring on the bobbin case. Mine always comes out becouse the spring is not forked. Also heavy, hard leathers need a larger needle, If you are using a needle that is less than a size 20 try using a bigger needle.
