marshaap Report post Posted January 16, 2013 I have just started to work with leather in the last month or so, mainly carving and stamping. My first actual project will be a knife sheath for a knife I made for my brother. I am a senior Mechanical Engineering major at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. I will be started my career this summer in Texarkana in a manufacturing facility. I am interested in Sheridan style and have started to try drawing some flowers. Other hobbies I have include hunting, Long Range shooting, Pistol shooting, and soon to be blacksmithing. I am excited to hear feedback from everyone as I start this new art. APM here is a makers mark i intend to use here is my first attempt at drawing here is the second carving I attempted
benlilly1 Report post Posted January 16, 2013 Welcome from one hoosier to another! Good luck on your move to Texas. Nice drawings. The more you practice leather work the easier it gets. Save that second carving. You'll be looking back later and seeing the improvements you've made. Stop by often. This is a good place to learn and get ideas.
