Hi all!

I started leatherworking about eight months ago, and I love it! I've joined this forum to hopefully learn some of the tricks of the trade and get inspired by other people's work!

Thanks!

Monica

Monica, let me be the first to welcome you to LW.net. I have not been a member long, but it has already proven to be a valuable resource.

For only being in leatherwork for eight months, you have been busy! You have a very unique style of tooling. Your designs, both in the projects you make and the artwork you decorate with show a lot of talent. Choices of colors are amazing. You definitely have a style of your own. Keep up the good work.

Monica,

Welcome to Leatherworker.net. This is a very friendly site with lots of good info. I'm always happy to see leatherworkers from Georgia on here, we may take over soon!!!

Thanks, King's X and Chief -- I'll be posting something in the show-off thread shortly.

And Chief, another Georgian! Well, I'm from Texas, but my husband is from here. I was very surprised to move to Georgia and find that the trees grow so tall. After which, they fall down. Not a terribly pleasant surprise for a flat plains girl. But the shade is nice. ;)

Interesting, I spent a lot of time traveling before I retired, I used to stay out in Fort Worth (Cow Town) a lot, been to the Stohlman museum there. If I didn't live in Georgia, I'm pretty sure, Fort Worth would be where I'd hang my hat. Again, welcome to the forum, this is a great place, I wish there had been something like this 42 years ago when I started. Could have saved me a lot of scrap leather and prevented me from saying some of the words I learned in the Army from time-to-time when a project goes south.
