Members LeatherWerks Posted January 26, 2013 Members Report Posted January 26, 2013 I am hoping someone could tell me how the dog leash in the photo I am posting is made. It appears the color on the back side is a white to cream color, and on the front it's some other color of pink. Is this two layers of leather glued together and sewn, or is leather actually available like this? If it is available, can anyone tell me where I could buy it? The color shown is just something I found on the internet. I'm looking for leather in a variety of colors. Thanks, Steve Quote
Members Cyberthrasher Posted January 26, 2013 Members Report Posted January 26, 2013 That actually looks like cheap split leather (not important since you're making one, but just as an FYI). But, if you were to make one, it would be 2 pieces cemented and sewn together with the grain side out. You can buy the leather pre-dyed or use veg-tan and dye it yourself. Quote
Members LeatherWerks Posted January 26, 2013 Author Members Report Posted January 26, 2013 Okay, I'll look for some leather like it. I guess it's probably chrome tanned upholstery leather of some kind. Thanks for your help, Steve Quote
