Members jakeisme30 Posted February 18, 2013 Members Report Posted February 18, 2013 Is there a specific type of leather that I should use for dog collars and harnesses? Can Veg tanned, tooling leather be used? I had a conversation with an older leatherworker, and he suggested that I could not use veg tanned, tooling leather. Quote
Members spooky Posted February 18, 2013 Members Report Posted February 18, 2013 did he say why he wouldn't use vegtan? Quote
Members chancey77 Posted February 18, 2013 Members Report Posted February 18, 2013 (edited) You CAN use veg tan and I have for many years! Just make sure after you tool it and it is complete you add Leather oils to it... Edited February 18, 2013 by chancey77 Quote
