Striver Report post Posted February 21, 2013 Hello all I am so glad to be here. I have a question. I am new to leatherwork and am going to start making Hand Stitched Dog Collars. My question is: What is the best leather to use so I can tool, dye, and accessories and where would you reccomend getting it. I would like to have it already cut into strips at various widths. Also what weight lambskin liner would you reccomend getting. Going to be using 2 D rings opposite each other. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated. We can certainly help you by saying things like : Use 8oz veg tan, 2oz liner leather, and get solid welded d-rings wherever you can.....
