I know this is probably a silly question, but I am just not certain. I have a friend who said he had a buckle and would like a belt to go with it. Well, since he line dances with me I assumed it was a western buckle. This is what he gave me last night. It doesn't have any screws or anything like a belt tip or a lot of those other types of belts have. It just has teeth. My guess is that you would skive down the leather to fit in the top slit where the teeth are and close it on the leather? If that is correct, will that really hold it forever? It just doesn't seem right to me. I have to be missing something. Thanks for your help in advance.post-30767-0-46024200-1361965650_thumb.j

The little tab lifts to release spring (or cam) pressure that holds the teeth closed
