tkirwan Report post Posted March 21, 2013 (edited) I am getting ready to make a survival knife sheath with a pouch that holds a firestick and whetstone. I have attached the schematic drawing of my design. If I could get the community of experts to give me suggestions on my design I would greatly appreciate it. I will be welt forming the pockets for the firestick and whetstone, along with the front of the fold over flap for the handle. The utility pouch will be held onto the main body of the sheath by wrap around straps. The entire package will be attached to a belt by a D-ring strap. A button compass will be attached to the welt and show through the sheath front. Unfortunately the pouch will need to be removed to see the compass.
