Yes, if the mineral oil comes in the form of baby oil, I don't mind it on my hands. In fact, I use cheap Baby oil on my oilstones for sharpening I have some neatsfoot oil too, mainly for softening old leather; but apparently some people used neatsfoot oil on their oil-stones for honing in the olden days.
