GuardianConcealment Report post Posted April 18, 2013 I am looking for a source or DIY advice to punch 4 holes at one time for my holster clips. I am currently doing them one at a time with a hand punch tool. Thinking of making something that will work with a 1 ton arbor press. Maybe a piece of steel that has four threaded holes to accept replacement punch tips. Is there anything on the market that does this? Texas customs can make it but I would like to cut cost. What replacement tips are the best? Thanks

GuardianConcealment Report post Posted April 22, 2013 Thanks for the help guys...this aspect is new to me. I guess it is called a gang punch. I just purchased some threaded 3/16 tubes from weaver and plan to drill and tap som retangular metal stock. I will then put a small bolt or rod on the top and use my arbor press. My arbor press is drilled for dies so this will just be like another die. For the base I will use a polly board as the anvil side. I will post some pics once I get it built and tested. If there are any definite deal breakers you guys can think of with this ideal please let me know as it is an expreiment.
Cyberthrasher Report post Posted April 22, 2013 I could be way off since I have no experience with holster clips, but is it possible that something like these would work? I have no idea on the spacing. http://springfieldleather.com/29159/Punch%2C9-in-1%2CLacing-Hole/
GuardianConcealment Report post Posted April 23, 2013 Not sure that would work...it needs to be 3/16 round punch, that looks like they are just for lacing.
