Members Cogs Posted April 25, 2013 Members Report Posted April 25, 2013 Nice work Doug! I like the Navy one. (Or is it a Marines symbol? I better learn the difference real soon because my Navy son, who is a medic attached to the Marines, is coming home next month). I've been wondering about the color. How did you achieve those shades of military green? Bill Quote Leather has it's own natural flaws... So does the artist! :}

Members whiteeugene Posted April 25, 2013 Author Members Report Posted April 25, 2013 Thanks Guys Vhakra these are all for 1911's I still have one more to finish. Cogs the emblem is a combat medic badge it’s for a guy stationed in Georgia he saw the one I made for my son and ask for one. The color was kind of a mistake I started playing with my air brush, I was trying to get just a little black around the edge kind of a fade effect. Once I formed the holster and let the leather dry I put a top cote on it and oiled the inside that’s when the color changed. Quote
