Members Lavita Posted May 1, 2013 Members Report Posted May 1, 2013 Hello, Everyone I am new to this forum. This is my first post but seems I need some help here. I have start working on leather about 6 month now and do the all stitchs by hand. Now I am feel a little tired to keep sewing by hand and looking for a good machine insteaded of hand sewing. The most items I was make are wallets, Ipad cases and sleeves with use of 18/3 linen thread. But I would also like do the computer bags after I get the sewing machine. So the thickness of leather need to be sew under the machine are from 5oz to 18oz and thread I need use are from size 69 to 207 maybe 277. I am looking at two sewing machine now. One is new Paffa 335 and the other one is refubrished Adler 269-373. Any differents between these two? I understand there is no one machine will fits all but I do need a machine to start with and could be fit in my use range about 2-3 years before add another machine. Did I looked at right machine? Or, is there any other suggestions? Thank you Quote

Thank you You're in the right ballpark, both the Pfaff 335 and Adler 269 would be suitable for the items you're sewing, however they will be limited to max 207 thread with 138 on the bottom. Make sure your machine comes with a servo motor (if not you can purchase one later). Ron Quote Techsew Industrial Sewing Machines Call toll-free: 866-415-8223 Visit www.techsew.com
