Paulr Report post Posted May 7, 2013 I picked up some resolene and have seen that a lot of people mix it 50/50 with water. Rather then measure it out each time and hope i don't have left over is it okay to just mix the whole bottle at one time and save it?
mlapaglia Report post Posted May 7, 2013 Yes, Thats what I do. Put it in Glass bottle and shake WELL before you use it. there will be a ring along the edge of the bottle but it dissolves when you shake.
humperdingle Report post Posted May 7, 2013 Yes, I asked a similar question a few weeks back - I had a half bottle of resolene left and filled it with water. Just used it yesterday after it sitting in the cupboard for a couple of weeks, and it's fine. As mentioned, just mix it well.

goldenstonebazaar Report post Posted July 12, 2013 What will be the shelf life for such mixture? Art acrylics have something like 6 yrs shelf life, mixtures - less.
Cyberthrasher Report post Posted July 12, 2013 What will be the shelf life for such mixture? Art acrylics have something like 6 yrs shelf life, mixtures - less. No idea. I know I go through enough with my low production that I never have to worry about it.
humperdingle Report post Posted July 12, 2013 Why not mix up a small 50/50 bottle, put it aside someplace and re-post in a few years?

goldenstonebazaar Report post Posted July 13, 2013 There was a post a while back (search for Resolene cut), it seems that dilution works for years.
Harag Report post Posted July 13, 2013 I bought a pack of Arcylic paints which had a 2oz of Resolene in it, I also bought a 4oz as I wasn't sure how much I would use it or how quick it would go. At the time I didn't know to cut it 50/50. At the moment for the little I do I've been using some eye droppers and mixing it in a small container each time. I plan to use the 2oz and when it's down to 1/2 full I'll put water in it and mix it, plan to keep doing this and pouring in resolene from the 4oz bottle... RiverCity Report post Posted July 13, 2013 Has anybody tried spraying resolene out of a spray bottle, like windex type or even an atomizer type? Chuck
goldenstonebazaar Report post Posted July 14, 2013 Windex type spay bottle and smaller drops personal hygiene spray bottles leave too big drops that have to be smoothed, so the sponge again.
