Phil2011 Report post Posted May 26, 2013 Hi, there! Last year, I got a pair of knee high boots from a famous auction site. It was a chinese copy of Minnetonka front lace boot. The size is 5US wmn (35EUR). Here are two main differences: on the chinese pair, the suede is much softer and pliable than Minnetonka's. On the chinese pair, the rubber sole is thinner, and it's stitched and glued, as you can see on this picture: I've decided to remove the rubber soles and to replace them with full grain leather soles (quite thick but extremely soft and supple). Here is the result: I didn't remove the foam padded insole. The combination of this insole and soft leather sole makes these boots extremely comfortable!
