Members TomBanwell Posted June 2, 2013 Members Report Posted June 2, 2013 I am storing some of my veg tan masks in a garage that gets rather hot in the summer. How hot can the garage get before the masks will suffer some damage? It is very dry here in California so there is no humidity to speak of. Thanks, Quote
raysouth Posted June 2, 2013 Report Posted June 2, 2013 Hello Tom, I probably will not be able to answer your question about high temp. for leather storage but can offer somer info. @ my experience her in the deep south. Rather humid here and plenty hot in summer. My leather is stored in my workshop, rolled up with some in boxes, (open ended), and other rolls exposed. Been this way for several years now and have experienced no problems. Initially thought I might develop some mildew problems but nada and I am pleased. Shop where leather is stored is not air conditioned and has 12' ceilings but can become somewhat uncomfortable at times. My work area at front of shop is with a/c which allows me to wok comfortably. Hope someone can answer your question better than I. God Bless. Ray Quote
