Help Finding A Post On Skipped Corner Stitches

Recommended Posts

We finally made a decision and purchased a used Tacsew T111-155. My wife has been doing some practicing and trying to get tensions right. Whenever she tries todo a corner it skips a couple stitches. I know iI read a post recently on how to corner, but can't seem to find it. Can someone point me in the right direction?

If your making a right angle turn when the needle is down tun the hand wheel a little till the needle starts back up and make your turn.

Before you turn the object 90 degrees, stop with the needle in the down position, raise the needle 1/4", turn the object and continue sewing.

The above posts are correct but it might help to know why!

The needle comes down and when it starts to rise a loop is formed which is there to be caught by the hook. If you turn the work before the hook catches the loop then the loop twists out of position so the hook misses it. Tilt the machine back and run through the process by slowly turning the hand wheel so as to get a good idea of when the hook has secured the loop. You can use the position of the take up lever as your marker.
