piheart Report post Posted July 22, 2013 I got thin lamb leather to make wallet. now I only have two side of needle for my pfaff 1245, 20# and 22#. here is pfaff needle information: #207 thread use a #23 needle #138 thread use a #22 needle #92 thread use a #21 needle #69 thread use a #20 needle I'm going to use 20# needle and top/bobbin both 69 thread to sew this thin lamb leather wallet. question is that pfaff 1245 can use smaller size of needle or thread? what is smallest needle and thread that pfaff 1245 can use, if can use 46 or 33 thread which need to use 16# 18# needle, then I don't have to buy another sewing machine for sewing thin fabric ( cotton / light cavas ). Wizcrafts Report post Posted July 22, 2013 Thank you Steveh for your reply. can I use 20# needle for 69 thread? do you or anyone knows that pfaff 1245 can sew thin cotton? A #20 needle is way too big for #69 thread, in most cases. I use either a #16 or #18 needle with such small thread. A number 20 needle is okay for #92 bonded, or #80 to #100 cotton-polyester jeans thread.
