I made this about a year ago, inspired by the Wild Rose Trading Company tutorial here:

It works fine, either bench mounted with a clamp, or under thighs in a chair, but I now prefer to stitch without a pony.

Height: Approx 18". Base: approx 20". Maximum jaw width: about 3/4".

It uses a threaded post and two wing nuts for keeping the jaws closed.

$18 + actual shipping cost, US destinations only. Unless requested otherwise I will partially disassemble it to reduce the package size. You'll need a Phillips screwdriver and a power drill with square drive (?) (one of those pseudo Phillips bits) decking bit for reassembly.
