Members Briks Posted August 8, 2013 Members Report Posted August 8, 2013 Can somone help me in selecting a leather sewing machine for sneakers. I would like to get a cylinder arm machine but have no idea where to start. I haven't sewn since H.S. and am not trying to spend $1000 for a machine.Any suggestions? Is there a website I could rent from ? I've been doing sneaker restoration but would like I start doing refabrication. Quote
Moderator Wizcrafts Posted August 8, 2013 Moderator Report Posted August 8, 2013 Perhaps you should look into a post machine. They are used for shoe uppers, Mocs, caps and hats and such. Quote
Members forbeskm Posted August 11, 2013 Members Report Posted August 11, 2013 Wiz is right, check out a post bed machine. I have seen them in you tube vids for shoe making. Bonney and Will shoe school has lots of pics on their facebook page of the post beds they use. I'll know more next month when I take the hiking boot class but I am sure they'd be happy to point you in the right direction. Quote
