New Wanting To Get Into Making Coats/jackets And Boots

So I've been interested in getting into leather working for quite a while now, but couldn't find any good resources until I came across this site. I really want to get into making Jackets/coats as well as custom boots, but I don't know what I need, where to start or where to look. Do you guys have any suggestions for these for the kinds of projects I'm looking to do.

I will probably branch out once I've gotten comfortable with those; I'd like to make masks, armor and stuff like that eventually, but I know that leather hardening is something that requires a bit of resources and a bit of space to do in large quantities/with larger pieces.

I'd go to a sewing class and learn to make a jacket out cloth before i tried on leather.
