Members Sawyer Posted September 18, 2008 Members Report Posted September 18, 2008 I needed a portfolio for some events i attend and decided to make one. also here's the Gremlin seat finished. The Portfolio has Neatsfoot oil rubbed in and balm with atom wax for the finish. The seat has been dyed with vingaroon and the Gremlin has resist with saddle tan over it Quote
Contributing Member rdb Posted September 18, 2008 Contributing Member Report Posted September 18, 2008 They look good Sawyer. I was wondering if the vinegaroon would work with a resist. I had thought it wasn't possible, but you seem to have done it. What resist did you use? Quote Web page Facebook

The vingaroon does not work with resist, it will wick under and up thru the leather and change color as in the letters haas. i got real close with the vingaroon and painted black dye with a brush around the other carvings Quote
