TsThorsell Report post Posted September 20, 2013 Hello all you experts out there. I have been wanting to buy walking foot machine for a while now but all that have hit the market here in Sweden have been to expensive. Now I have found a used machine on our equivalent to craigs list. It is a Pfaff and the seller does not state that it has a walking foot mechanism on it, however, I think it is judging by the picture. Can anyone of you look at the uploaded picture and tell me for sure if it is or not?
Wizcrafts Report post Posted September 20, 2013 Yep, walking foot, probably compound feed (triple feed).

TsThorsell Report post Posted September 24, 2013 Yes looks like a Pfaff 145 compound feed very good machine and looks in good condition. Yup, you were spot on. It is a Pfaff 145-6C H2L which runs very good. Do anyone of you have any information on what the subversion label means? I have managed to find out that H2's use system 134 needles and that H2 type C machines use needle size between 120 to 160. What else is specific to this model? For example what does the L in H2L mean?
TsThorsell Report post Posted September 24, 2013 I'll add answers to my own questions so that you do not have to unnecessary efforts into it. I have found some more answers such as: C machines are for medium heavy materials, L stands for leather, H2 - vibrating presser lift and the fabric clearance is 7 mm. Trox Report post Posted October 15, 2013 Hej Sverige, You need to find a subclass H4 or at least a H3. The H2 will not take any heavy threads. There are lots of these for sale in Norway at reasonable prices. I assumed you where going to use it on leather. The 145-H2 has triple feed but very light duty rating. The later 545 is exactly the same machine too. They are frequently up for sale at Finn.no. Look for a H4, thats the heaviest subclass. The "L" is simply stands for leather, then the machine has smooth feet`s and feed dog (under transportør på Norsk). You will find them cheaper in Norway than in Sweden, there are no marked for them here. Good luck Tor
