Roger J Report post Posted September 21, 2013 I can get snap buttons locally from several different stores (hardware, craft, sewing, department, etc). Are there any brands to look for or avoid? RoyalLeatherDesigns Report post Posted September 21, 2013 Are you talking about the pull the dot snaps, with those you will ba able to tell fairly simple because they have a little tab that is visible. If its just regular snaps they are fairly all the same. If you are using these for a gun holster I suggest you use pull the dot snaps. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Googling led me to this excellent video on the matter...the music used is a little dramatic though : For my needs right now, I'm looking for the regular snaps.
