bisonmade Report post Posted September 24, 2013 I have a Singer 31K15 with a roller foot and I am trying to figure out how to reduce the marks that the roller foot and the feed dog. Some have told me to put tape on the parts but I am not sure which tape would be best. Also, what is a good edge guide to use for this machine? Thanks! tnawrot2 Report post Posted September 24, 2013 Buy a needle feed machine.
TXAG Report post Posted September 24, 2013 I am not sure about your machine, but on mine I can buy a "leather foot" for it which is just a standard foot with the teeth ground off smoothly so it doesn't mark up the leather. Maybe they make one for yours or you can get an extra one and modify it that way.
Andrew Chee Report post Posted September 24, 2013 Check out Kwokhing.com. They have a rubber roller that might work?... Andrew
Darren Brosowski Report post Posted September 29, 2013 Easy fix: lightly file off the points of the feed dogs then coat them in "Tool Magic" or similar. Ditto the roller foot. Rubber coated roller feet are available but I have yet to see a rubber coated single row feed dog to suit.
