First find out how much intrest and if there are enough people in your area to create a guild. You can do this by posting notices on forums like this one, maybe even the leather shop forum on cascity.com. Put out flyers at craft stores even see if Tandy will let you leave flyers or tell people of your guild. Then set up a meeting place even just a restraunt for coffee and to discuss the forming of a guild the fisrt time. Then see if you can locate a meeting place where you can meet and work on projects and carry on guild business. Contact other guilds to see how they were founded and how they sustain membership. Visit this site it is essentialy a guild http://pslac.org/ Maybe even plan a roadtrip to a guild meeting such as Puget Sound Leather Artisans Coop to do a meet greet and see how they conduct their guild.
