Members Jim Finn Posted November 13, 2013 Members Report Posted November 13, 2013 I have made about 55 of these functional and decorative fireplace bellows. The tooled leather is inset into the wooden bellows and glued in place. I started by carving the images into the wood but found inlaying leather much quicker and easier to get in more detail. Bellows are 15" long. Quote

Members dakotawolf Posted November 23, 2013 Members Report Posted November 23, 2013 Very nice. I was just considering making myself one of these for campfires and those times I'm trying to hurry up the charcoal for the grill. Did you find a pattern, or make your own? Quote
Members Jim Finn Posted November 23, 2013 Author Members Report Posted November 23, 2013 I made my own. I used, as a guide, a hand carved bellows I bought in Norway when I was traveling through there in 1984. Quote
