Members holmesmarsh Posted November 16, 2013 Author Members Report Posted November 16, 2013 Hi, Odin Just had a look at your website cool work, I don't live in Hereford, live just outside of Kington, started doing leatherwork because of friends telling me to have ago because of me being an Upholsterer, So I see your into motorbikes do you have one, I have a suzuki vl1500 which in time going to do my seat and panniers, only had 10 bits of leather about 5inch sq the first 4 went into bin, other 6 you see here, just order some leather, so will be back at it very soon regards James Quote
Members OdinUK Posted November 16, 2013 Members Report Posted November 16, 2013 Hi James, I have my trusty Suzuki Bandit 600 that Ive ridden to Scandinavia and all over Europe with no problems at all. I recovered my seat in red leather with a gel inset set into the foam. I have a singer 31K15 but it needs a new hook. I hope to be learning some upholstery, just got a book on automotive upholstery. I bought 3 old seats for my bike to practice on. Ideally Id like to try making tooled leather seats with the braided lace holding it together, as typically seen on cruisers. If you happen to be passing Leominster I can give you a few small scraps for practice, PM me if youre interested. Free off course! Paul Quote
