Coonan .357 Pancake Holster Pics

Recommended Posts

Basic leather pancake holster for a .357 Magnum Coonan. Tried the Fiebings Lether Colors dye for the first time. Stuff smells awful but I really like the depth it gives the leather. Typically I use the Professional Oil dyes which just makes everything one sold color. Anyone else tried this product line and have anything to add?

Looks great! I agree on the spirit dye...that in combination with an airbrush is hard to beat IMO.

Hey Shooter it looks outstanding! They are a beast of a pistol.

Used the dark brown in the same dye and it ran me and a customer out of the shop. Opened it up wide to get the stink out.

Coverage wasn't even, seemed like it wanted to go in great in spots and some not so much. Used mine up making some holsters I called "distressed brown" and sold them at the gun shows.

Of course I took them outside to dye.

Yep I usually do a test piece for each new dye I use. Just wetting the dauber with this was enough to run me out of the room.

I also dyed this one outside, which in Cleveland is pretty cold recently lol.

I love that they make a big deal about it being low VOC.
