TXAG Report post Posted November 27, 2013 (edited) Have you tried doing a seach on here for "horse tack" (on the whole forum)? I think that would be a good place to start...then, once you have specific questions, post them here and people will (hopefully) answer them. Your question is pretty broad...I guess the first things you might want to consider are which pieces of tack do you want to make (I know you said bridles and breast colllars...did you want to limit it to that? Might be a good idea to focus on one or two items at first and then expand out as you get more experience..) and then do you want to make them out of straps or braid them? (That will determine which tools you'll need)... Then do searches as much of these methods have been discussed here ad nauseum in the past and those threads will be good for you to read to start out...then if you have questions about anything you've read that you need clarified or don't understand, post them then... dirtclod Report post Posted November 27, 2013 You will need a strap cutter of some kind, head knife or round knife, 5/8, 3/4, 1 inch round or english point punches for the strap ends, 3/4 or 7/8" bag punch for buckle holes, cutting board for cutting and punching, edgers size 2 and 3, punch for adjustment holes, maul or mallet for driving punches and i'm probely forgetting something but all that will get you going. Oh a sewing machine if you want to make any money.
