Hi folks, might be a daft question here...

I've been making some small possibles pouches with approx 5mm thick veg tan. I want to fit a sam brown, but the screw part of the fitting won't reach through the leather to engage with the stud part.

What's the best way around this?

Can I buy longer screw parts?

Do I just try to skive some material from under the screw part?

Or is there a nice, neat, quick way?

Find a trusty ball peen hammer (8oz) and your mallet place the hammer peen end on your hole for the screw. Strike firmly. Install screw.
