Members danaandvoya Posted December 10, 2013 Members Report Posted December 10, 2013 Howdy, So, made a few gun holsters, mostly wet formed stuff with simple stitching and some with tooling, but I am looking to do something a bit different now... I'd like to make a nice concealed carry holster for my 1911 and I want to include rattlesnake inlay... My question is, before I ruin everything, can I still wet form the holster once the snakeskin inlay has been done? Not a precise fit form, but more of a general forming just to allow the holster to hung the gun a bit and of course to form a extra clip holder. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, VM. Members camano ridge Posted December 10, 2013 Members Report Posted December 10, 2013 (edited) You can do a general wet forming where the inlay wraps or lays over the gun. You can do detail molding in the areas not covered by the inlay. Check these threads for examples. http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=43391&hl=%2Bblack+%2Bcherry http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=48288&hl=%2Bavenger+%2Bwith+%2Binlay Edited December 10, 2013 by camano ridge Quote
