Members RavenAus Posted December 21, 2013 Members Report Posted December 21, 2013 Hi A friend of mine recently asked if I could make a Polar Bear mask for them, just the snout though. I've done a few masks but nothing like this. Before I tell them I can't I'd like to at least try. Does anyone have any ideas for making a form I could mold the mask over? Thanks Quote Kind regards, Raven http://wolfscrafts.com/
Members TomBanwell Posted March 30, 2014 Members Report Posted March 30, 2014 I start with a life casting of a face, than use modeling clay to sculpt the snout. Spray it with lacquer so that masking tape will stick to it, and cover it with tape. Mark where your seams will go and cut the tape of with an Xacto knife. The tape pieces become your pattern. I document a lot of this sort of process on my blog http://tombanwell.blogspot.com/ Good luck! Quote
