Members Wishful Posted January 18, 2014 Members Report Posted January 18, 2014 Craftool f916 is commonly used for grass. There is some good information on this in several al stohlman books like 'pictorial carving' available through Tandy Quote
Members Fonzarellis Posted January 5, 2015 Members Report Posted January 5, 2015 +1 on the Al Stohlman books. There are several tools that make grass and as a newb, I've have been playing around with some just here lately. The 6926, 6917, 6933,6916 & 6918 tools Tandy sells will all make decent grass depending on how coarse or how distant you want it to look. Leaning the tool toward the tip ( and even using the very tip itself) seems to yield the best results along with working from background to foreground and not in neat little rows, unless of course that is what you want. Just play around with a couple of the tools next time you are in Tandy if one is close by. Quote
