Members Wanderinstar Posted January 19, 2014 Members Report Posted January 19, 2014 Hi everyone, I am about to start making myself a pair of shoes. The Youtube contributer says to use 1 oz thread to sew the uppers. I have some 1mm and "60" metric also some 18/4 linen thread. Do any of the coincide with 1oz. Does anyone have a conversion table that I could use. Thanks in advance. Quote
electrathon Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 http://www.tolindsew...read-chart.html The style of shoe you are making will somewhat decide the thread size. But in general. uppers would be sewed with size 46 or 69 thread. 1mm is huge, that might be used to sew the soles on, but it may even be a litle large for that. Quote
