A Question On Wet Leather Forming

There must be minimum oz weight of leather after which wet forming would not work or be practical. For instance I don't think that wet forming 2oz leather would be a thing to do. But I could see where wet forming a 5 or 6oz leathers would work. Am I on the right path or is there more to it?

Thinner leather wet forms easier, thicker leather holds its shape better once formed. Any thickness of veg tanned can be formed.
