Members jmkjmk2 Posted February 9, 2014 Members Report Posted February 9, 2014 Came across this stamp in a set I purchased and have no Idea what make it is. Anyone seen one like it before? Quote
Members WyomingSlick Posted February 9, 2014 Members Report Posted February 9, 2014 Yup. I have a couple like that.....at least they have the same label on them. Does this one have a shaft made of a metal core with a black plastic surrounding it? There was a set of some twenty, or more, sold on Ebay years ago. Don't quote me on this but it seems like the name associated with them was "Gemini" As for the other post, I would guess that one is a guilder's stamp, or a stamp for wax seals. Quote
Members jmkjmk2 Posted February 9, 2014 Author Members Report Posted February 9, 2014 Gemini makes sense because the set also included some Gemini clicker press stamps. Quote

Members OReally Posted March 9, 2014 Members Report Posted March 9, 2014 A gilding stamp is used with leather bookbinding and goldleaf Quote
