Contributing Member ClayB Posted October 6, 2008 Contributing Member Report Posted October 6, 2008 Just in case some of you don't keep up with the calendar here on LW, I wanted to let you know about some upcoming leather classes taught by master leatherworkers. I have had the opportunity to experience most of these people teach in person and I know that you will learn a LOT if you attend any of these classes! Kathy Flanagan aka Yaklady will be teaching a class in Rapid City, SD on Oct 17-19. Her class will be carving, embossing, and painting a mountain scence as seen through a barn window. Jim Linnell will be in Norway the same days, Oct 17-19. His class will be carving and embossing on a flask cover. Pittpounders Leather Guild is trying to schedule a class with Paul Burnett on Oct 25th. His class will be on carving and coloring a Kestrel. Chan Geer is going to be in the Denver, CO area November 7-9 teaching a class on carving a Sheridan style notebook. For more info on any of these classes, check out the calendar here on Leatherworker for contact details. Also make sure to check back often to see what's coming up in the future. And, if you know of any upcoming classes or leather related events, be sure to add them to the calendar! ClayB Badlands Leather Art blog Badlands Leather Art Website
